Description
This piece features a natural Colorado Topaz crystal from our claim in the Tarryall Mountains in Park County, Colorado. This is a complex terminated crystal with all it’s natural crystal faces intact, it has many natural “facets” with a high luster. It catches and refracts the light almost as well as a faceted gem! The back of the gem was flattened and polished to allow the open back of the setting to let light pass through and to make it possible to set it in this bezel setting. The setting was made from scratch using .999 Fine and .940 Argentium silver. This piece was made by hand here in our studio in Conifer, CO and the stone was found and supplied to me by my wonderful mining partners. I have some more of these Natural Colorado Topaz crystals I will be creating with soon, some are even a nice blue color! I also have some faceted Colorado Topaz that will find their way into my art real soon.
Butterfield Gems & Minerals works hard to curate special stones like this for our jewelry. This would look good around anyone’s neck, and as always with our jewelry the setting is built for daily wear and the most rugged of lifestyles.
Sterling Silver chain included.
