Description
This is a large Amazonite cabochon polished right here in our studio in Colorado! The stone was found by us at one of our digs in Jefferson County, Colorado! It has a fine green/blue color with a small streak of white Albite. The color is very much like turquoise, but Amazonite is much harder so it takes a polish easier and is far more durable! It also exhibits a “schiller” flash known as adularescence due to the parallel crystal structure of Amazonite, which is typical for many feldspars! This stone will shine far brighter in the sun than any turquoise!
